This is an exciting one. On September 12th, we had our biggest product launch in quite some time — an all new, revamped ID Wallet, the first of a series of major updates planned for the coming months.

The ID Wallet is a core pillar for achieving GlobaliD’s mission to enable everyone to own and control their digital identity.

As the user-facing part of the Trust Triangle, your ID Wallet should be beautiful, secure, and convenient. This latest release represents our first step toward building a best-in-class ID Wallet that’s useful from day one. We’ll be continuously updating the new ID Wallet in the quarters to come.

With this latest release, you’ll be able to digitize, store, and manage your most important identifying documents all in one secure place — your phone.

Key features and updates:

• The ID Wallet is now the homepage of the GlobaliD app. When you open the app, you will instantly be able to view and add your most important identifying documents so you always have them at your fingertips.
• One tap copy and paste. That’s any field from any of your digitized credentials. Need to share your driver’s license number online? Simply open the GlobaliD app, tap your driver’s license number to copy it, then paste it into the desired location. It’s that simple.
• Easily share your credentials. Need to share a copy of your credential with an Airbnb host or provide a copy of your driver’s license to a car rental service? Just select the share option on the ID Wallet screen and instantly send an image of your credential to anyone.
• An intuitive, refreshed design. With our improved wallet and credential designs, it’s easier than ever to access your credentials in one, convenient place. Your most used IDs, like your Drivers License and Passport can be found on the home screen, while your less used ID information can be found by clicking “Identity checks.”
• Ready for web3. Our new ID Wallet is built on portable and interoperable standards including those recently finalized by the w3c. Learn more about the power of verifiable credentials in our recent podcast with Indicio.
